Workplace Crisis Situations
Cracker Barrel's EAP provides Critical Incident Stress Debriefings for employees who experience a crisis on the job. Traumatic events disrupt operations and affect employees on a personal level. The EAP counselors have the skills and experience required to help employees handle these unfortunate occurrences.
The EAP assists employees in dealing with the aftermath of violent events such as robbery, suicide, and natural disasters. The EAP also responds to nonviolent events that may be just as devastating to employees such as the sudden death of a co-worker, spouse, or child. When these tragic events occur, contact your EAP for immediate assistance.
When necessary, the EAP counselors go directly to the workplace involved. The counselors may work with employees individually or in groups depending on the circumstances of the event. The EAP follows up with employees in need of additional services.
Employees who participate in workplace debriefing return to full efficiency more rapidly than those who do not. Untreated workplace trauma can lead to a decrease in productivity, an increase in medical claims, poor morale, and an increase in turnover. Don't let this happen. Contact your EAP for assistance.
