All information, interviews and statements, written or otherwise, are confidential communications kept separate from other company records

Discussions between a client and provider are confidential. A release of information must be signed by the client before discussions can take place.

Discussion between employees, family members, and the EAP are confidential

Information shared between an employee and the EAP is kept confidential with the following exceptions:

  • Intent to harm self or others;

  • Abuse/neglect of a child, elderly or handicapped person;

  • Information that is clearly detrimental to the store or the company

CONFIDENTIALITY

Cracker Barrel EAP counselors know that it takes courage to call and ask for help. To ensure that confidentiality is maintained, the EAP counseling staff follows a strict professional code of ethics.

If you have concerns that would best be addressed by another department at the Home Office, the EAP counselor will obtain your consent to share your information with the appropriate department and/or transfer your call to the appropriate department. Such issues would include, but are not limited to, store operations, medical benefits, payroll questions, workers' compensation, discrimination or harassment.
